Laser Treatments
Laser Hair Removal

Using the most technologically advanced and effective lasers, unwanted facial or body hair can be permanently removed, in a safe medical environment. Our advanced laser produces a beam of highly concentrated light. The light emitted is well absorbed by the pigment located in hair follicles. The laser pulses for a fraction of a second, just long enough to vaporize the pigment, disabling numerous follicles at a time to eliminate or significantly impede the hair's growth.
Laser Spot Removal
Are you seeing spots? High-energy lasers can safely and effectively remove many unwanted brown and red spots on your skin, including liver spots, age, sun sports, broken capillaries, birthmarks, and angiomas (red spots). Once the lasers do their job, you can have a more even skin tone.
Laser spot removal usually takes 15 minutes to an hour, depending on the size, color, and depth of the spot, as well as the number of spots to be treated. Red spots can usually be treated in one or two visits. Brown spots may require two to three visits. Broken capillaries or re-colored scars may need multiple treatments.
Lasers are only effective on certain typres of spots - primarily marks that have a discrete boundary. If your skin tone is uneven, or if you are bothered by general discoloration, you may be a good candidate for treatment using Obagi NuDerm Systems or chemical peels. We can discuss with you regarding this and your different treatment options at your complimentary visit.
Laser Vein Treatment
Safe, effective and gentle laser removal of blue or red veins, including leg veins, spider veins, and telangectasias, on the face and body that are 1 to 3 millimeters in diameter. The laser produces a highly concentrated beam of light that is attracted by the hemoglobin in the blood vessel. The vessel absorbs the light and is destroyed, but does not rupture or lead to extensive bruising as with older lasers. Because of our laser's deeper wavelength, the light is not absorbed by the skin, but goes directly to the vessel, allowing safe treatment for all skin types without burns or blisters. The laser effectively disperses the vessel, improving the overall appearance of the skin.
IPL
IPL is an acronym for Intense Pulsed Light. Using specific light filters, the energy of the intense pulsed light can be focused on a specific target within the skin.
Although IPL is not exactly a laser, it can be used in a similar manner to lasers for safe and effective treatment.
IPL is a non-surgical, no downtime skin rejuvenation procedure. IPL, or Intense Pulsed Light Therapy, is an exciting procedure that can diminish the appearance of:
• age spots
• facial flushing or redness
• Rosacea
• flat birth marks
• hypo-pigmentation
• fine wrinkles
• broken capillaries
• freckles and
• damage caused by sun overexposure
IPL reduces these discolorations and makes the skin tone more even and bright. The popular Fotofacial (Photofacial) treatment is performed using an IPL device. It is typically used on the face, neck, and/or chest, but can be used safely on other body areas. Treatment only takes 30 minutes and is not painful.
